Since spending his early life in his bedroom either sketching and programming his Tandy TRS-80, Andrew seems to be hard-wired to creating a marriage of the digital and creative worlds. His final project in architecture school was the only one to be presented as a 3D animation (in the words of his computer lecturer “Hmm, we didn’t teach them how to do that”), and was the first person at Banhan and Assoc. Architects to use CAD systems to not only design buildings, but to animate and present them. This technical/creative duality has continued throughout his life – Andrew studied a Bachelor of Science degree in IT and also attended AWARD advertising school, where he finished within the top ten in the state of Victoria.

A passion for digital creativity was destined to be reflected in Andrew’s long career. Working for companies at the forefront of the digital advertising revolution including creative lead at Neopurple, as an ACD at Tribal DDB Melbourne and currently as a VP Creative Director at Digitas Boston, he helped shape award winning creative and strategy for brands as diverse as Cussons, Telstra, LG, Coca-cola, Olay, Gillette and Tide. Andrew is also an active member of the advertising industry as a whole, serving as a committee member and judge for the Melbourne Art and Design Club, as a reviewer for Portfolio night and is a member of AWARD, One Club and Art Directors Club.

An insatiable curiosity and fascination with these worlds extends outside Andrew’s work sphere, with his personal hobbies including 3D Animation, filmmaking (including a bucketload of unproduced scripts and unfinished films) and programming (from Maya MEL scripting to PHP).
